Lexus Pipe Challenger surf contest

‘Ōpua Makua takes the spotlight at Pipeline, the most famous and deadliest surf spot in the world, in use for logotype, poster, signage and jerseys of the Lexus Pipe Challenger surf contest.
Kelsey Ige designed the key artwork for the contest starting with the poster using ʻŌpua Mauka, which then rolled out to the rest of the campaign assets. Ige said “I’ve been waiting for the perfect project to use the ʻŌpua typeface. And WSL’s art direction requested to honor the wave, the place and the people, so I knew this was the time.
